THE POWER OF CONNECTION IN ART
A thread that has appeared several times in my reflections is the idea that students connect well to their own objects when drawing. This seems quite an obvious statement but its something that I would really like to push in my art classes. the idea of being self assure, the idea of having a connection to your work and making it personal.
Whether it be drawing a still life or creating a zine. I feel that the power of personal connection is a power every artist must posses when creating works. From since I can remember I have been delving into my past in my own personal work, constantly bridging memories and relating things back to my past. This helps your own creativity and artistic style grow. We draw memories from the past to create new ones in the future.
